The AHIG Foundations are committed to supporting cultural institutions that provide meaningful programs in the arts and sciences. Our focus is on initiatives that engage young people and create a lasting, measurable impact. We also prioritize funding for programs that nurture and develop artistic talent. Supported organizations include arts schools, ballets, museums, operas, performing arts centers, symphonies, and theaters.
– In recent years, 25% of total AHIG funding has been allocated to cultural initiatives.
– Organizations with budgets exceeding $10 million have received 60% of the funding within the cultural sector.
– The Foundations can only fund approximately 25% of all grant requests received, with around 80% of those funds directed to prior grantees and 20% allocated to new grantees.

The AHIG Foundations give preference to the following areas:
– Artist development and training
– Arts education programs that effectively address the gaps in K–12 arts programming
– Science programs based in museums or cultural organizations that emphasize skill development in science, technology, engineering, environment, arts, and math (STEAM)
– The minimum grant size is $100,000.
– If a grant request is declined, organizations must wait at least one year from the date of the decision before reapplying.
– Grantees must wait a minimum of three years from their grant award date before submitting another request.
